- What hardware do I need for a counter display?
- Anything with a browser: an old laptop, a spare tablet, a mini PC behind a TV, or a second monitor on the till machine. There is no app to install and no dedicated device to buy, which also means nothing to replace when the shop changes its setup.
- Can customers see anything private on the screen?
- No. The display shows amounts, currency, a running total and the time. Customer names, emails and card details are never stored by us, so they cannot appear on a screen that faces a queue.
- Does this replace my card terminal or point of sale?
- No. Your terminal takes the payment and your point of sale runs the shop. This listens to your Stripe account and turns each cleared payment into something the whole counter can hear and see, which a terminal facing one member of staff cannot do.
