Terms of service
Last updated September 14, 2026
These are the terms for using ChaChing Alerts. They are written to be read rather than skipped. Using the service means you accept them.
Who you are agreeing with
ChaChing Alerts is operated by Mark Fulton, Reinventing.AI Solutions. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that operator, and "you" means the person or business using the service.
What the service does
ChaChing Alerts plays a sound and shows a running total when a payment event arrives from a Stripe account you have connected. You create the connection by adding an endpoint URL we generate to your own Stripe dashboard and pasting back the signing secret Stripe issues. We never ask for a Stripe API key and never hold access to your Stripe account.
What the service is not
It is an alerting tool, not a system of record. Stripe is the record of what you were paid, and it always wins. Do not use ChaChing Alerts totals for accounting, tax, reconciliation, or any decision that needs the authoritative number. Events can be delayed or missed for reasons outside our control, including a destination you deleted, a signing secret that no longer matches, a Stripe outage, a browser tab that was closed or asleep, or a device with the sound turned off.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Stripe. Stripe is a trademark of its owner and is used here only to describe what the service connects to.
Your account
- You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the connections you create.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.
The free period and what it costs
No card required. Your free trial ends 48 hours after your first live payment arrives, or 30 days after signup, whichever comes first. Then subscribe for $4.49/month to continue, or pay once for lifetime access. No automatic charge.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are. If the price changes, existing subscribers are told by email before the change takes effect and can cancel first. Billing is handled by Stripe on our own account; we never see or store your card number.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. How to do it, and when a refund is given, are set out on the refunds and cancellation page, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect a Stripe account you are not authorised to receive events from;
- send us anything other than genuine Stripe events on the endpoints we generate, or attempt to forge events;
- probe, load test, scrape, or try to break the service or the accounts of other users;
- resell, sublicense or rebrand the service as your own;
- use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that would put us in breach of Stripe's own rules.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or that is causing harm to the service or to other users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
Your data
What we store, what we never store, and how to have it removed are set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You keep ownership of your data. We use it to run the service for you and for nothing else.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and to fix faults promptly, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and there is no uptime guarantee at this price. Planned work that would interrupt the service is announced in advance where practical.
Changes to the service
Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the product develops. If we withdraw something you are relying on, or change these terms materially, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change; if you do not, cancel and the refund page applies.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by cancelling, and delete your account from your dashboard whenever you want. We can end an account for a breach of these terms, or by giving you reasonable notice and refunding the unused part of any period you have paid for.
Liability
The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. To the fullest extent the law permits, we are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost sales, or any loss arising from a payment alert that was delayed, missed or wrong, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
