- How do I set up an alert sound on my computer when I make a Stripe sale?
- Three steps, about two minutes: create a ChaChing Alerts account, follow the guided setup to add one webhook destination in your own Stripe dashboard (we give you the URL and a link that pre-fills the rest), then leave the dashboard tab open and click "enable sound" once (browsers require one click before a tab may play audio). From then on, every successful payment plays a cash register sound the moment it lands. It runs in the browser, so it works on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebooks with nothing to install.
- Can Stripe itself play a sound when I get paid?
- Not on a computer. Stripe's mobile app can play a payment sound on your phone, though a push notification depends on Apple or Google and on your phone network, so it is not instant: in our own tests the browser alert arrived about a minute earlier. The Stripe dashboard in a desktop browser is silent, so you have to refresh to see new payments. That gap is the whole reason this product exists.
- Why not just build this myself with Stripe webhooks?
- You can. You'd stand up a webhook endpoint, verify signatures, host it, keep it running, and wire it to a browser that plays audio. That's a fun weekend project, and it's also the exact stack we run for you for $4.49 a month. Most people who start the weekend project end up here.
- How is this better than desktop apps or Zapier setups?
- Desktop notifier apps make you paste a Stripe API key and install software on each machine, and many display customer details on screen. Zapier chains add per-task fees and still don't play a sound. We never ask for an API key at all: you point a Stripe webhook at us, so the only thing we can do is listen. It runs in any browser tab with zero installs, includes Slack and Discord alerts, and supports multiple Stripe accounts on one $4.49 plan.
- Is there a lifetime deal?

- What can you see in my Stripe account?
- Only the successful-payment events you told Stripe to send us. We keep the amount, currency, timestamp, country codes, payment-method category, and an optional product label explicitly supplied in product_name metadata. Customer names, emails, full addresses, customer IDs, and card numbers are never stored. We hold no API key or login to your Stripe account.
- Can it charge or refund anything?
- No, and not because we promise not to. A webhook is a one-way notification: Stripe talks to us, we cannot talk back to Stripe. There is no key, no token, and no API access to your account.
- Does it work with multiple Stripe accounts?
- Yes. Connect up to 10 Stripe accounts on the same subscription. Hear payments from multiple products or businesses in one tab.
- How do I cancel?
- One click in the billing portal, and you can disconnect your Stripe account from either side at any time.
