How does the Stripe revenue counter work?

Set a whole-number target and a currency. Every successful payment in that currency adds to this month's total and the bar fills to match, live, as payments land. It resets with the calendar month.

Why is my goal in one currency only?

Because converting currencies at an arbitrary exchange rate would quietly change your number. Payments in the goal currency count towards the goal, and every other currency keeps its own separate total, so nothing is invented.

A number beats a feeling on the quiet days

How the Stripe revenue counter is calculated

Gross successful charges in the goal currency, for the current calendar month.
One currency per goal. Other currencies keep their own totals rather than being converted at a rate nobody agreed to.
Live. Every payment moves the bar as it lands, with no refresh.
Whole units. Set 30000, not 30000.00, because a goal with cents in it is a target nobody chose.
Set it to zero to turn the goal off entirely, if the number would do more harm than good this month.

Where to put the counter

On the dashboard it sits under the revenue card. In display mode it can be the headline metric on a wall screen, which is how a shop counter or a packing area gets a target the whole team can see. For a solo founder it usually lives on the second monitor, next to the editor.
